April 10, 2013 - Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX

On the final day of Engineering & Humanity Week 2013, experts discussed emergency water provisions for large communities in remote refugee camp locations in a panel discussion titled "Refugees and Water."

The day wrapped up with a dedication dinner and announcement of the winners of the Student Design Competition. This year's Water Distribution Camp was dedicated to adventurer and safe water activist Katie Spotz, and Katie was presented with a framed drawing of The Water Tap by Hunter and Stephanie Hunt. Katie addressed the audience by telling the story of her solo journey rowing across the Atlantic Ocean to raise money for safe water projects.
